A big part of the success of any community food system or project is the dedication and availability of volunteers. Through volunteers many programs are able to extend their reach into our community and bring the postive results of their programs to those who otherwise may not be reached. We are a local house of hospitality looking for volunteers to help grow, cook, can, and serve fresh, local food for hungry and homeless folks in our area. We buy local, support local farmers, grow some of our food in an empty-lot garden near our downtown home, preserve our excess and create delicious, healthy meals for people who need them.
